Privacy Policy

 The AsioTec Team maintain a number of websites, including asiotec.org domain and subdomains. We are committed to maintaining user's privacy as they use these sites. To better protect privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices users can make about the way their information is collected and used. On all our sites, we use non-personally identifiable and aggregate information to better design our sites. On all of our sites at which we collect personally identifiable information through the site registration process, users can correct or modify that information by editing profile. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.

1. Introduction

 This Privacy Policy applies to all of the products, services and websites offered by Asio Software Technologies or our subsidiaries or affiliated proxy. Sometimes, we may post product specific privacy notices or help materials to explain our products in more detail.

 At AsioTec, we consider your privacy to be extremely important. These are the fundamental principles that we follow:

• We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
• We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to provide you with services.
• We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our services.

2. Visitor Notice

 Like most operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor's request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the website, products and services. Generally this information is requested when you are asked to register before participating on the message boards, entering a contest, or ordering e-mail newsletters. We may combine the information you submit under your account with information from other services or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our products and services. For certain services, we may give you the opportunity to opt out of combining such information.
• Cookies - When you visit our website, we send one or more cookies to your computer or other device. We use cookies to improve the quality of our products and services, including for storing user preferences, improving search results and ad selection, and tracking user trends.

The information collected by us when you enable a third party application is processed under this Privacy Policy. Information collected by the third party application provider is governed by their privacy policies.
• Other sites - This Privacy Policy applies to AsioTec only! We do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results, on discussion boards, IRC, etc... These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you.

4. Visitor Consent

 If you choose not to register or provide personal information, you can still use most of the features on AsioTec, but you will not be able to access areas that require registration. We may offer newsletters, which are sent only to opt-in lists. They also include a very easy and simple way to be removed once you have joined.

5. Security

 We strictly protect the security of your personal information and honors choices o every user for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

6. Information Sharing

 With the exception of the issues discussed in this paragraph we do not share your information with third parties. On some sites, we may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our websites. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

 Please be aware that it may be possible, depending on your use of various features, that some of your personal information is available on publicly accessible web page(s). One example would be using the discussion board. Consent to expose some of your personal information in these cases is implied by the use of these features.

7. Hosted Sites

 We give children between the ages of 13 and 18 the ability to publicly post or distribute personally identifiable contact information without prior parental consent. Please take proper measures if you do not wish your child to have access to public forums and message boards. As always, exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information in a public forum. In order to comply with the COPPA ruling, if you are younger than 13 years of age, you are forbidden from becoming a member of AsioTec or posting information on message boards without direct parental consent.

8. Enforcements

 We regularly review our compliance with this Privacy Policy. When we receive formal written complaints, it is our policy to contact the complaining user regarding his or her concerns. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between AsioTec and an individual.

 If for some reason you believe Asio Software technologies have not adhered to these principles, please notify us by e-mail at constitutive@asiotec.org, and we will do our best to determine and correct the problem promptly. Be certain the words Privacy Policy are in the Subject line.

9. Future Changes

 From time to time, we may use user information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our Privacy Notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes. Note, that changes to this document may be made any time without warning. We may or may not notify you of changes in this policy, however, we will make an effort to notify you if there are any major changes to this policy. You will not be notified about changes related to clarification and/or elaboration of parts of this policy.
